About us

Thurrock Adult Community College delivers part-time adult education providing people with the opportunity to learn, grow and shape their future. We support learners to improve their career prospects, get into work or get more out of their family lives and social relationships. Learning with us helps people improve their confidence and wellbeing through a wide range of courses. Our students appreciate the high quality learning experience the College provides and use their new skills to enhance their lives.

Our diverse curriculum aims to meet the needs of the people of Thurrock and enable them to achieve their life and career ambitions to take advantage of all the opportunities that are available to them. We work collaboratively with communities, employers and agencies responding to changing needs, thus contributing to the social and economic growth of the local area.

The current Coronavirus situation is an anxious time for everyone. The healthy, safety and wellbeing of our learners and staff is essential at this time. As a college we are continuing with plans for you to learn safely following Government advice and guidelines on social distancing. We have, of course had to change the way we deliver courses this year, moving to a blended model of remote learning using digital technology and classroom based delivery. We are keeping our programmes as normal as possible to make sure you will still achieve your qualifications and goals.

Your learning journey can start or begin again at any stage in life and we will continue to offer a wide range of flexible courses that you can study part-time. Our vocational courses can help you reskill or upskill your knowledge to ensure you achieve recognised qualifications to go further in your career or start a new one. Your work or physical wellbeing may have been affected by events recently. We can help you with a range of courses designed to get you back on track. I hope that you will find something in this Course Guide that suits your needs but I you can't please contact us via email at info@tacc.ac.uk and let us know what you would like us to consider offering in the future.

This is a challenging time but together we can met the challenge and be ready for a new start in the new world. Thank you for choosing to learn with us.
