You may be looking to retrain for a new career, gain a qualification, develop your confidence and skills for work or challenge yourself to learn something new. You can retrain at any age or stage in life with our range of online (tutor-led), in person and blended learning courses. We are expanding to new venues for courses from September 2021.

Financial help and support to access adult learning courses

Your first full Level 3 qualification could be free, if you have not achieved the level before (selected courses). Qualification courses up to and including Level 2 may be free for learners on JSA, ESA and Universal Credit or for those on a low income  and fee remissions available for those on other state benefits (subject to income thresholds). A limited Discretionary Learner Support Fund (DSLF) is available to support learners in financial hardship with help to access and participate in adult education courses, including fees and course related costs such as equipment loans or childcare fees and travel.
